ALOJA - STARKELSEN SIA
About ALOJA - STARKELSEN SIA
Our journey began in 1937 with the establishment of a small potato processing facility in Ungurpils. Since then, we’ve grown into one of the world’s leading potato starch brands.
Aloja Starkelsen became Latvia’s first international joint venture in the food industry in 1991, formed through a partnership between the employee cooperative “ALOJA” and the Swedish agricultural cooperative “LYCKEBY.”
We are dedicated to creating food and feed solutions based on sustainably grown ingredients, gentle processing methods, and a strong commitment to minimizing environmental impact—while maintaining the natural qualities of the raw materials in our final products.
Our dedication to cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable food production is reflected in our alignment with 6 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through our Sustainable Ingredient Solutions, we actively contribute to a safer, greener, and more prosperous future for our planet.
