About SYKIKI
SYKIKI, founded in 1953, is a cooperative based in Sperchogeia, Kalamata, Greece, and plays a vital role in supporting over 1,700 fig producers across Messinia, Laconia, and Arcadia. With 419 active members, SYKIKI is governed by a General Assembly, a nine-member Board of Directors, and a five-member Supervisory Board. The cooperative is led by President Panagiotis Papageorgiou and managed by Director Georgios Angelopoulos and Deputy Director Lambros Lagos. SYKIKI focuses on the sustainable cultivation, processing, and marketing of high-quality figs. It aims to improve producers' economic conditions through planned agricultural development and environmental responsibility. The cooperative invests in modern techniques and maintains a skilled staff to ensure product excellence. SYKIKI’s products are distributed in both domestic and international markets. Over nearly 70 years, it has become a key institution in Greece’s fig industry. The organization continues to grow while staying committed to quality, sustainability, and community development.
