Established in Sri Lanka in 1978 as Ruhunu Grinding Mills by our current Chairman Deshabandhu Mr. Padmasiri Muthumala, we have grown from a small-scale manufacturing business to become Ruhunu Foods, the foremost producer and marketer of spices and allied products in Sri Lanka. With a state-of-the-art factory equipped with modern machinery and technology for crushing and blending a wide range of spices and other food products to the highest of quality standards, Ruhunu Foods has won the confidence of discerning consumers both locally and globally. Our current portfolio of products which include spices, flours, and seeds are sourced, manufactured and packed under stringent hygienic, health and safety standards which have been recognised by locally and globally accepted quality standard organisations such as SLS, SLSI, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 22000:2005, EU Organics and HAACP, which also ensures that manufacturing staff skills and knowledge are under constant scrutiny and upgrading. Located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, our production facilities are ideally located to be in direct contact with the right sources to procure the freshest of produce that meet the stringent requirements of our buyers. Currently Ruhunu Foods export spices and value-added spice blends, flour products, essential oils, oleoresins and more to different numbers in several locations spread over 05 continents through a comprehensive and efficient logistics network.
