About Tripper Nature
From a young age, the Tripper story began with two brothers, François and Olivier, who developed a deep connection to fragrant botanicals while helping their family collect rose and jasmine flowers in Sumatra, Indonesia. Growing up surrounded by rich natural aromas in Sumatra—and later in Singapore—they nurtured a lifelong bond with Southeast Asia’s aromatic heritage.
In the mid-1980s, while living in the U.S., François accompanied his father to collect vanilla beans in Bali. Inspired by the exceptional quality of the vanilla and the potential it held, he began supplying high-grade beans to chefs and restaurants in the U.S. But his vision went beyond trade—he was determined to create value at origin, supporting farmers and workers throughout the supply chain by combining his deep ties to the land with technical know-how.
Olivier, who was then working with a fragrance and flavor company in Jakarta, joined his brother to help realize this vision. Together, they established two processing facilities: a spice grinding plant in Jakarta and a liquid extract facility in Bali, laying the foundation for what would become Tripper—a company rooted in authenticity, expertise, and a deep respect for its origins.
