Anapqui

The National Association of Quinoa Producers (ANAPQUI) was established on December 3, 1983, as a result of the First Congress of the Single Trade Union Confederation of Peasant Workers (CSUTCB), held at the Cine México in La Paz. At this congress, and after extensive debate, the establishment of the National Association of Quinoa Producers (ANAPQUI), affiliated with CORACA Nacional, was decided upon as the economic arm of Bolivian peasant workers (CSUTCB). This association upheld the motto of recovering land, territory, culture, and language, and encouraged the practice of economic and administrative self-management. The first directive, mandated by the grand congress, was to encourage the PRIMARY PRODUCTION, PROCESSING, TRANSFORMATION, AND MARKETING of quinoa, as an autonomous organization that was to work in conjunction with trade union organizations. ANAPQUI has a processing plant in Challapata, Oruro, where camelid livestock are also raised to support organic production. It also has a quinoa derivatives production plant in the El Kenko area of El Alto. It also has sales and administrative offices in the cities of La Paz and El Alto, and is present in national and international markets. ANAPQUI defends and supports the organic production processes of Royal Quinoa, including the processing, processing, and marketing of value-added products. It offers high-quality, safe products to meet the demands of local, national, and international markets and improve the living conditions of its member producers. ANAPQUI is a social, self-managed, community-based organization and leader in the entire chain of organic royal quinoa production, processing, industrialization, and marketing; caring for and respecting Mother Earth, "PACHAMAMA."
